Scór na nÓg

Best of luck to Dylan Newman, Laurence Bohan, Séamus Bohan and Oisín Ferrar in the county Scór na nÓg semi-final instrumental music competition which takes place in Coole next Sunday, November 1 at 3pm.

The quartet made it through the first round in Gaelscoil an Mhuilinn, Mullingar  last week. Our other participant, Sofia-May Marshall, was unlucky not to progress after giving a fantastic rendition of ‘Fare thee well lovely Mary’ in a very tough solo singing category.

Underage mentors wanted

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to become underage mentors and help develop our young players.

If interested in getting involved in 2027, please contact 083 130 3234.

Pitch closed

The pitch at Shanette St. James’ Park is closed until early in the New Year due to drainage works. The Astro remains open as usual. Thank you for your understanding.

Meanwhile, the old metal scoreboard has been safely taken down and removed as part of the improvement works.

Lotto

Last week’s lucky numbers were 10, 14, 19 and 22. There was no jackpot winner; Sennan Claffey was the only Match 3 winner.

This week’s jackpot is €3,000. Make sure to buy your tickets online or at Centra, Mee's Costcutter and Whelan’s. Tickets are also on sale outside Centra every Saturday and Sunday. Thank you for your continued support.

St Joseph’s

Congratulations to our neighbours St Joseph’s on winning their first Junior Football Championship since 2004 last Sunday. They were impressive winners over The Downs in the final at TEG Cusack Park.
